Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage the full HR function of the resort. This is a hands-on, operational leadership role responsible for the complete employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to payroll administration, compliance, and employee accommodation management.
As the Head of Department, you will work closely with the General Manager and department leaders to support a positive workplace culture and ensure the resort maintains the highest standards in HR operations, compliance, and sustainability practices.
Candidates with previous Caribbean or remote island hospitality experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations
- Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding
- Maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance with local labour regulations
- Act as the primary HR contact for all employees and department heads
Payroll & Administration
- Oversee and administer payroll processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and internal policies
Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
- Support managers with employee relations matters and conflict resolution
- Assist with staff engagement initiatives and retention strategies
Accommodation Management
- Oversee employee housing and apartments, including allocations, maintenance coordination, and rent administration
Compliance, Audits & Sustainability
- Support HR-related audits and compliance processes
- Assist with sustainability and ethical workplace initiatives aligned with the resort’s values
Operational Support
- Provide HR support across all departments as required
- Contribute to operational improvements and organizational development initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Previous HR management experience in hospitality preferred
- Experience working in the Caribbean or remote island environments strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll administration and HR compliance
- Hands-on professional comfortable working independently in a single-person HR department
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership and operational teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD $5,000 – $6,000 gross per month (inclusive of allowances for food and housing)
- Housing provided (employee contributes rent at a subsidized cost)

- Bonus scheme based on performance
- Vacation: 18 days per year (negotiable)
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
