Financial Controller – Derbyshire

A fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a growing, multi-site group and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll lead a finance team and play a key role in ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting and commercially focused decision-making across the business.
The role:

Lead and develop the Finance team, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Oversee month-end, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.

Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and scenario planning.

Provide commercial analysis and insight to the senior leadership team.

Manage external audit, statutory accounts, VAT and wider compliance requirements.

Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting across the Group.

Drive systems and process improvements, including automation and improved data visibility.

Partner closely with Operations and senior stakeholders to support business performance and growth.
We’re looking for:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.

Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar.

Strong technical accounting and management accounting experience.

Previous experience leading and developing a finance team.

Excellent Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability.

Experience across audit, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

NetSuite and multi-entity/group experience would be highly advantageous.

Hospitality, leisure, tourism, entertainment or other multi-site experience would be a strong plus.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused Financial Controller role offering the opportunity to make a real impact on the finance function and support the continued growth of an established and expanding group.
