Electronics Design Engineer – Medical Devices
Liverpool, on site full time
£35,000 – £50,000 (Based on experience and skills)

Monday to Friday – 37.5hrs
My client, a growing manufacturer within the medical device sector, is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their expanding R&D team. With continued investment in new machinery and product development, this is an excellent opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and prototype through to production.
The business is flexible on experience and is looking for someone technically driven, who enjoys problem solving and wants to play a key role in bringing new products to market.
Role Description
- Design and develop electronic products from concept through to production
- Prototype, test and debug PCB designs
- Produce PCB, schematic and wiring designs from product specifications
- Resolve electronics issues throughout the product lifecycle
- Work closely with R&D, Production and Marketing teams
- Support new product introduction and handover into production
- Produce Bills of Material and supporting regulatory documentation
- Develop test hardware for quality control
- Liaise with suppliers on quality, specification and cost
- Drive improvements across products and processes
Skills and Qualifications
- Good PCB design and manufacturing knowledge
- Relevant electronics/engineering qualification
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Product development experience
- Medical device experience advantageous
- Project management experience beneficial
- High-speed PCB design
- Embedded systems and firmware development
Desired
- PLCs
- EMC, LVD and RED
- IVDR / ISO 13485
- Machinery Directive experience
