Description
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes effectively.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports for senior management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in the business services industry is advantageous.
