Job title: Contested Probate Solicitor
Location: Guildford
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 – Depending on Experience
PQE Level: 2-4 PQE
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full-time
This role will see you joining a market-leading private client practice in Guildford, within their specialist contentious probate team. Recognised in the legal guides including the Legal 500 and Chambers for both their quality of work and enviable clients, you can expect great quality matters within a genuinely supportive and ambitious working environment.
As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Tackling a range of work such as contested probate, will disputes, inheritance claims, trusts disputes, claims regarding estates and trustees and more.
- Collaborating with team members on highly complex and rewarding cases.
- Building lasting and strong relationships with the firms existing clients, alongside seeking opportunities to grow the team’s reputation and caseload.
- Using natural empathy and clear legal guidance to assist clients through difficult decisions and events.
This is an excellent position for solicitors with experience in this area of law, who are perhaps seeking something different and a team that offers a rare split between excellent caseloads and a healthy work life balance. You can also expect close mentoring and great opportunities for career progression. The role would also suit private client solicitors who perhaps did some training or have experience of disputes work and would like to make the change into this niche area of law.
