Global Medics is partnering with the Mid North Coast Local Health District to recruit a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist/Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Mental Health.

The key responsibilities for the role:
* Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychiatric services to patients
* Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers
* Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the LHD.

Essential Selection Criteria:
* Coming from the UK - Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
* Other Countries – Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
* Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health
* Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team
