Overview

We’re recruiting a Chef Manager to oversee catering across two schools (Lower & Upper), with the role primarily based at the Lower School in North-West London. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Chef Manager with a background in education contract catering, who enjoys structured services, leading stable teams and delivering consistent, quality food at volume!

The role is predominantly term-time only, offering excellent work–life balance with early finishes North-West London.

The role

  • Lead the catering operation at the Lower School with a team of 6 General Assistants.
  • Oversee catering for 500–600 covers per day across one large, high-volume service area.
  • Provide support to the Upper School team (2 GAs + 1 Head Chef) as needed for recruitment or HR.
  • Ensure smooth, structured service and consistent food standards.
  • Manage ordering, stock control and deliveries.

  • Education-focused, volume-led catering.
  • Morning break grab & go offer.
  • Lunch service including hot mains (1 meat & 1 vegetarian), pasta station and dessert.
  • Cold food offer with salads and baked items.

The offer

  • £35,000 – £37,500 per annum
  • Term-time only contract
  • Working hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Supportive, structured and well-run kitchen environment
