Description

Assistant Accountant:

  • Collaborating with senior finance staff to prepare annual statutory accounts and streamline financial processes.
  • Managing and supporting finance team members in daily operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash management.
  • Assisting in the creation of budgets, forecasting, and developing key performance indicators.
  • Producing management accounts and dashboards, monitoring income and expenditure, and preparing VAT returns.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements and maintaining robust financial records.

Profile

The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess at least some of – if not all – of the following:

  • Working toward a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT or equivalent).
  • Possess strong time management skills.
  • Aptitude for financial IT systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration within the team.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management is essential.
